Installation pre-settings

Hi Techies,
I am installing v8.1.7 on an AIX system. Everytime I am almost finished and the OUI is trying to create a database or just completing the installation, I stumble to a failure of some kind? I guess the failure starts from installation settings. What are the sequences of settings to initiate before proceeding to using the Universal Installer?

Docs about Installing Oracle on AIX can be found at Technet:

Your error sounds like your DB-installation-user is not granted the proper filesize-limit (check with ulimit -f), but you should check all pre-installation-requirements given in the docs.

There should be a log from the install. Have you checked it? What error messages do you see?
