HI

I've a Option 11 C 25.15 with mmail 13 installed. The Hard disk of mmail is damaged (I don't known how) without posibility of recovery.

What do I've to do to reinstall mmail?? What equipment is necesary to do it?.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a tape drive, which might be it? and Which is the procedure or where i look for information about this??

Thanks.

Haven't done this in ages since I work on avaya now, but as I recall its a scsi tape drive & it plugs into one of the cards into a slot which will currently have a terninator plug in it. I did replace a hard drive on one of these once. It was in a school for the deaf so they did hear it grinding. It took several attempts but I managed to get it backed up on the tape, thank god. Its a lot of typing if you can't. Paul Beddows

You will find the procedure in Document 555-7081-250 Meridian Mail Option 11 EC Installation and Maintenance or on Meridian Mail 13 Documentation CD-ROM Part # NT2F25AA.
Also I forgot one thing you will need the KEYCODES for the Meridian Mail. OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

You most likely have an Enhanced Card Option Meridian Mail. This is a single card that fits in slot 10 of your Option 11 Cabinet 0. You will need an External Tandberg SLR series tape drive, specific Seagate hard drive, key codes and Meridian Mail installation tape. Once you get all the parts you need, it is actually a simple operation. You would disable the card in the PBX, remove it and replace the seagate drive with a new one, attached the Tandberg tape drive the installation tape in it, power up the tape drive and plug in the card. The card will first attempt to boot from the tape drive and will begin the installation. You will need the key codes that go with your serial number.

Good Luck
