installation of ML from disk 1

Hi all,

I got the following problem,and it's rather annoying:

I need to install a ML on a machine, but when I ran the preview installation , it was just sitting there.When I checked the errorreport it stated errors on cd0 and ide0.
So now I would like to install the ML from disk.I have got the 3 CD's , but I can't use the cd drive.So smitty bffcreate can't be used, because this also uses the cdrom.
Any suggestions anyone?

I believe you can use IBM's Support Fix Central to download the applicable ML and then just copy this to the server.

You can download the ML! Its a 800Meg download, so be warned....
