Installation of IP 500 digital 30 module

I have never added a module to the system before. I will be installing an additioal digital 30 port module.

What steps do i need to take? This is what i am aware of.

mount, connect rj45, upgrade firmware of module.

are there any more steps? Extension numbering?

You are in the wrong forum but i can help you

What you need to do is using the blue cable that came with the module !
Connect it to a free expansion port on the back of the ip500

check if you have a license called upgrade from standard to professional
Without it the module does not work !!!

Power down the ipoffice
Power up the module and then power uo the ipoffice

Change the working directory to the 3.2.999 folder
Upgrade the DS30

It needs the 3.2.999 bin file first

Then change your working directoy back to the manager folder

Then upgrade it to your 4.x version (4.2.14 is current)

Then there should be 30 more extension and users and you only need to configure them

There are two options for changing the working directory,
.cfg files and .bin files

Do i change both or just the .bin?

You need to change both otherwise it does not work
