I am quite new to solaris hardware. I have a sun ultra 1 creator 3D that had a cdrom problem. I got a new scsi CDrom and replaced the old one.

This cdrom is not detected automatically

When I try to access the cdrom I get the following error in different window.

" Watch errors"

Wed Jun 15 02:00:48 2005 (/usr/dt/bin/dtexec) dtksh
No such file or directory

What do I need to do to resolve this problem

Have you done a boot -r from the OK prompt or touch /reconfigure then a bounce of the box to attempt to get the system to pick the device up? What release OS? You could also look at devfsadm, which can be used without a reboot. Perhaps try a devfsadm -C to remove dangling or broken links, followed by a devfsadm -c disk to add new disk devices it finds.
