How do you verify if the expansion cabinet has been installed on the BCM? I am new to the BCM and just trying to remember if there is anything else I am suppossed to do as far as programming the expansion cabinet. I have it plugged into the main cabinet and powered on, but can't really see it.

Any ideas?

BCM 50 or 200/400/1000?

Either way, there isn't any programming to do for an expansion cabinet (with the exception of needing to keycode activate it on the BCM 50).

On both platforms, connect the expansion cabinet to the appropriate port, configure/install your MBM that goes into the expansion cabinet. After that, programming is the same as any MBM in the main cabinet. Test to make sure it's working by connecting a phone/trunk as appropriate to the MBM in the expansion cabinet.

As biv stated

only 3 platforms for expansion 400,1000 or 50. All involve a link cable supplied with the cabinet. The BCM 50 as biv stated requires a key code. The only thing you need to do is make sure you use the cable supplied otherwise you will have problems with clipping and timing slots.

Marshall

Good catch marshall - didn't realize I mentioned the BCM 200 in there - force of habit I guess. But, I wish there was an expansion cabinet for that system.

Thanks Guys for your help. I will install the MBM tonight to make sure everything works properly.

Thanks for looking after me.
