During switch over , whether the managed IP is released from Active and taken by Standby ?

Please ensure you followed the guideline for choosing managed IPs as per Avaya RU3 release notes:

Choosing Managed IP addresses
For AML HA, SIP RnR, the Managed IP should be lower than the Active and Standby Physical IP addresses
Active: 10.0.0.20
Standby: 10.0.0.30
Managed: 10.0.0.10

For Mission Critical HA, the Managed IP should be higher than the Active and Standby Physical IP addresses
Active: 10.0.0.10
Standby: 10.0.0.20
Managed: 10.0.0.30

Version :8.5 (released on July 6 , 2012)

Hi Apds,

the manage IP address cant be taken from active to standby server.i tried the solution that you mention also doesn't work. currently my aacc6.2 is service pack 4, the HA can work for switchover function? some more i checked our PABX cs1000 version is 4.5 .

Not sure how you were sold AACC 6.2 if your pbx is on release 4.5, minimum supported release is 5.0......

on our lab just have CS1k 4.5 only . we just do a testing on our lab.

I have a similiar problem with the switchover from AACC 6.2 SP5 ELAN connected to CS1K rls.5.5.After the first switchover from Standby to Active, the ELAN will connect, but say APPLICATION DISABLED. We were told it is an compatibility issue with 5.5 with the workaround being to Shutdown and restart CCMS, server reboot not needed. When the services come back up the ELAN will connect and show Application Active. In performing this process TFE service takes forever to start, but usually does. The last time I did this after installing microsoft hotfixes on the servers, TFE would never start and I ended up having REM out all script references in the Master Script to take the load off of the OAM & TFE services. TFE started immediately afterwards. I then had to add back in the script references to the Master Script and reactivate each script, which is a slow process depending on script load. This is a prod system, not a lab system so script load may not be an issue.

The AACC is not supported with 4.5, doesn't matter if it's a lab system. If your trying this failover in the lab and it's not working it's because your connecting to a 4.5 switch....you need to upgrade your lab switch to a support version.

Cheers.
