I try to install Legato Networker 7.1.2 on a W2K-Server.
The setup program aborts with

"An older version of networker is installed. Please remove the installed version and run setup again."

The problem: There is no older version installed and i can find no entrys in the registry.

Any tips ?

take a look to the services... I faced the same problem and the answer was that the service "Networker Backup and Recover server" exists, but no software was installed (desinstalled actually).

If NW is in the service, remove it with regedit:
1. Run Regedit or regedt32.
2. Find the registry entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services

3. Find the service there and delete it.

You may wish to look at the keys and see what files the service was using and perhaps delete them also.
