I need to Install MS 2003 Server on a different partition of the C drive,
OS currently is Vista home edition.

I have partitioned the C: and added I: & H:
but having trouble.

I tried to boot from the CD, booting was successful, BUT, windows did not detect a hard drive !!

your help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

dbserver2000,

How did you partition your HDD? What type of HDD do you have (SCSI, SATA)?

Regards,

Michael

sounds like your running a SATA drive, you usually need to install 3rd party software (which comes with your HDD) to have the HDD recognized.

good luck

find out what motherboard or HD Controller you have. Go to their website and download the driver for the HD controller. You will have to put it on a floppy and press f6 while booting to the windows server 2003 cd to load the additional driver for the HD controller.
