Installation Error

I have a user who's son deleted his Goldmine application, but the folder is still there. He just started with our company so he has a different format of Goldmine than we are using. So I thought the best way to handle this was to load from CD the original Goldmine 4.0 version and then copy his folder, but when I try to load I keep getting the following error:

Merging The Configuartion File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\_ISTMP2.DIR\IDAPI32.CNF Has Failed.

I deleted the borland and deleted anything else associated with Goldmine, but keep getting this error.

If anyone has any insight on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Barbara

Try reinstalling just the BDE from the supplemental folder on the install CD. Also check that the files are not read-only.
