Installation Error GP10 1

I am installing GP 10 on a pc and get it errors. A window pops up informing me to check a log file file. In the log file it simply says
ERROR: One or more components failed to install correctly.

Then next line says
Return Code: 10000

This happens while it is installing Microsoft Dexterity Shared Components.

Any ideas on what the problem is.

There is a knowledgebase article for your exact situation. You will have to install the Dex shared components and GP10 with a transform script manually. Basic issue you PC has .Net 2.0 service pack 1 applied.

Yes I did find one, and it worked. It was difficult to find.
