I have installed Paint Shop Pro from disk, with the complete package / plug-in set:
1. Paint Shop Pro
2. Photo Essentials
3. MediaOne Plus
4. Photorecovery
5. Background remover
Having done that, none of my "network" connections will work - LAN, 3G or wireless.
On trying to renew the IP (IPconfig /renew), it gives a message "An error occurred while renewing "xxx" (e.g. LAN or wireless) the requested service provider could not be loaded or initialised. No operation can be performed on Network Connect Adapter while it has its media disconnected."
It picks up just a 169.254.etc. address rather than the expected 10.etc.
On the first occassion, I uninstalled P/Shop & was able to do a system restore and everything was OK again. However, after a 2nd attempt (I know - don't go there!) caused the same problem, although I uninstalled P/Shop OK, all of the earlier restore points have now disappeared. So, I now have no network connections and an effectively unusable machine.
Any ideas??
Running XP SP3 on an HP / Compaq nc6120. 1Gb memory & loads of disk free.
