installation directory

I am preparing an MST of an application. The application is installing to different drives on different machines. I want the application directory to be instlled in the c:
The original MSI is determinig the istallation drive at install time through a custom action.This custom action calls a function in a DLL.

I tried using Set Directory custom action but it does not work.

Try to set the value of the INSTALLDIR variable instead.
