Installation broblems on HITACHI Mx 166

I am having a problem installing Salaris 8 X86 on my HITACHI note book.
I found a way to get it to run the first part of the install proces, and it will create defoult fdisk partitions and will run the first proces no problem, But it won't reboot the machien. When I boot it my self I can see and choose the boot partitions X86 and Salaris, but it wont run and gives me an error "Cannot find boot.bin. Any ideas how I can over come this problem????? and get salaris to run on my notebook.

Very few laptops are completely supported by Sol8 (or any Solaris for intel for that matter). I suggest a close inspection of the hardware compatibility list on the Sun website. Ian
