Anyone know where I may be able to find documents on this discontinued equipment? We have a temporary office where our managers want to re-use and old VMX100 that was de-installed about a year ago. So far I can't get it to answer. It maybe that I have in connect and or programmed incorrectly in the PBX. So when all else fails read the book.

Thanks

I downloaded some of these documents but was looking for additional info.

Thanks

What additional information were you looking for? The Octel Legacy Documentation section has most if not all the documentation on the VMX100.

You say you can't get it to answer. Do you know if the system has booted up without any errors? Connect to TERM1 (Even,7,1) and login and see if there are any errors. Normally the system will answer a call on the first ring, but give it up to 6 rings.

Sorry for the delay!

A VMX-100 will always answer after some rings (up to 20) and you will hear the company greeting. If the VMX-100 is connected to a PBX it will in most cases answer immediately or after a few rings. If the integration is defective or malprogrammed the general company greeting should be heard after some rings. If no voice greeting is heard after 20 ringbacks, then you must consider that the VMX is defcetive or has a defectice line board LIC-2.
You may logon according to the procedure written in this thread and after logon you can read out the L H i.e. the alarm logg.
Hereafter the fault location and maintenance procedures can begin.
