install xp

I boot from the xp cd en delete all partitions and create a new one in the setup from xp.

Then a get the message that there is no partition found that is compatible with xp ?

Does anyone know what this means ?

Have you previously successfully installed XP on this machine?

Does the XP install actually format the partition you create before reporting no compatible partition?

You may have a hardware problem.
