Install XP

Hello all,
I currenty have Windows 2000 Pro installed on My PC but I want to install Win XP Pro. I paced the CD in the drive and install XP, it checks than restarts computer, windows logo comes on screen and then screen goes blank
What do I need to do?

Any Help will be appreciated

Things like USB devices being removed, turning off ant Virus or Security scanning software, including any Bios virus scanning, or updating the Bios itself, may help.

You also have Setup logs in the Winnt or Windows folder which may offer some clues?

Setupact.log, Setupapi.log, Setuperr.log, and Setuplog.txt are the primary Setup log files. The Pnplog.txt file may also contain information about the failure.

Of course your CD may be faulty too?
