Been using Win98 SE for years, just about to install XP Pro on my new PC.
With Win98 I always used to copy the win98 directory from the install CD on to the HDD, then run setup from the HDD. That way I never needed to insert the Windows install CD when installing new hardware, or adding Windows components.
Can a similar thing be done with XP? What steps would I follow? I tried creating a small FAT32 partition, copying the CD contents to that, and running setup, but it did not want to run from FAT32.
