I am trying to install Peachtree Complete 2007 on a client laptop (Windows SBS 2003 Server client machine). I have mapped a drive letter to the server folder P: = Peachtree\company on the server. After answering all questions and point in the install wizard to drive P:\ for the company data (it is there) and click on the "Install" button, the wizard gives me the following error message - "The install wizard was unable to locate the IP address of the server."

Firewall settings are set by server so I can't turn it off. I am using AVG antivirus. I ended AVG processes in Task manager. This didn't help. Please rescue me.

Change your P: mapped drive to the root directory of the server computer. Then in your P***140.ini file which is located in your C:\windows directory. Change the location of the datapath, example:

DATAPATH=C:\PEACHT~1\Company\

The ini file referenced above filename changes depending upon the version of Peachtree you are using.

Hope this helps!
