Install/Setup of BCA Publisher

Hey guys,
I have some questions about the BCA Publisher. We have the BCA set up and are able to schedule reports. We want to be able to email them using the Publisher. I don't see anything on the server for Publisher from my original install of the BO products. Is Publisher a separate product with separate licensing? The install guide mentions a separate "Broadcast Agent Publisher CD". Can anybody shed some light on publisher for me?? I would really appreciate it!!

Publisher is a separate product with separate licensing. It is rather expensive.

It is generally used for creating complex publications that are being sent outside your company.

It's not as simple as just creating a report and using Publisher to send the email.

If that's what you want to do, you can do so with a relatively simple VBA script.

There is a VB script that will mail a FC doc.

Here's the blurb from the support doc:
You need to have MAPI installed on the BCA Server for the script to run as BCA job. The best scenario is to install Microsoft outlook on the server and create an account .We created an account
Bo_admin. That is being used in script to open a MAPI session.

You can copy the script and attach to any of your report but make sure that inside the VBA Editor
select Tools->References and select ‘Microsoft CDO1.21 Library’ before copying the script.
