Iam trying to install Redhat Linux 9 on 40gb hardrive in my PC.
The first thing is that i hav 3 partition, i want to install linux on first partition. I tried it earlier but it removed all the partition. I want to install it in first partition. How do i do it; how do i select it?

Also i have downloaded the iso images from redhat website for linux 9. Can i use Nero Burning rom to burn it in cd; will it be bootable cd?

During the installation of RH9, the installer will ask you if you want to automatically partition the hard drive or do it manually via disk druid. Once you are in disk druid, make sure you configure the first partition as / (root).

Yes, you can use nero to burn the ISO images and the first CD will be bootable.
