Install Problem - Dell T110

I am attempting to install 2k3 SP2 on a Dell T110. It keeps failing on the "Setup is Starting Windows".

I spoke to dell and they are telling me that i need R2. Does anyone know of a way around this?

More importantly, what is their support statement? If they won't support anything but R2, that needs to be taken into consideration.
