how do i install a s/w package on AIX ?? i 've used swpackage on HP-UX. is there a similar command on AIX?

install package

The question is AIX filesets, or third party, or products like C compiler?
Each is different?
If it is aix filesets...you can go into smitty install_all with the main cd in
and follow prompts (select software with f7 or whatever emulation you have)
and then run them.........or smitty install_bundle
Other things are based on what format they are in.......As I said if they are in AIX install format, you can do the same thing...If they are not, it depends on the readme...and the product?
As far as comparing aix and hp...here is a site that can help with other things.
