Are there anything needed on the unix server for the web interface for the database control working?

Just after a oracle 10g install, we can have the DB control working?

Yes:

emctl {start|stop|status} dbconsole

If not configured, use emca to set it up.

Just to add a little more detail for using emca...

I've been using the following command to create the repository:

emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

It will prompt you to enter the following information:
Database SID
Listener port number
Password for SYS user
Password for DBSNMP user
Password for SYSMAN user
Email address for notifications (optional)
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server for notifications (optional)

Then, you can use the emctl command (as suggested by LKBrwnDBA) to start, stop, or check status of dbconsole.

If you need to remove the repository from your database for any reason:
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop

Cheers!
