We are rebuilding a proliant 1600 with windows 2000. The partition was deleted then readded during a fresh install of w2k server. Now the partition says its unformatted or damaged and when I go to format using ntfs the next screen prompts me for a windows 2000 service pack 3 disk. Has anyone ever run into this before?

There are a few instances that request service pack 3. Whenever I install DNS I get the same message. I made a w2k Adv. Server disk with SP 3. I just put it in and go. Hope this helps.

The actual problem to this was a problem with the Windows 2000 server CD. I ended up having another cd at a client and tried that and the install went smooth. The cd that was having problems looked fine but must of had something wrong with it. Just wanted to keep you informed in case anyone else ran into this.
