I am fairly new to Oracle and downloaded the above mentioned of Oracle in zip format. I unzipped and burned it on a CD. The installer starts up just fine but I can't get past the following message...
Error in accessing the staging area, please make sure your source and destination paths are valid.
I have done a few installs, including personal Oracle 8 and believe I have everything set properly. The source is valid because the installer recognizes it and begins, then errors out after about 10%. It is attempting to read a products.jar file to list the products that are installable, and that is when I receive my error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
