Hi,

I select "install antivirus server" from the autorun menu and
then I have to select machines to install it too (looks like the tool used to install clients on remote machines) and I chose the local server and install.
It goes to a 100% and then the timeglass just rotates and rotates. I once got it to say it didn't get a response from the server, and I can see that nothing is installed on the server :(

Is there another way to install antivirus server - as it doesn't seem to be able to do it, via the "remote install util " :(

I have checked that there's no windows firewall running, and I am logged in (via remote desktop) as the administrator for the domain, the server is the AD for.

All ideas are most welcome.

On the machine you are pushing from, I belive you should have a Share called 'Server Rollout' - within this folder, go to WINNT\Setup.exe. - this will allow you to run the install directly on the server.

The share on the server is VPHOME
and the install can be found under CLT-INST/WIN32/setup.exe

the remote install until is on the NAVCE cd under a directory named "rollout" when you are configuring a rollout you need to keep the admin location the default (local server) and the select the server you want the clients to be installed under.. and then lastly the clients you want to be remotely installed.

You could just batch the setup.exe into a login script though... it'll work both ways
