Install of 0x16 module/moving fiber around 1

Hello,

I am looking at installing an additional 0x16 module to our system, but the kind person who installed the system before me did not work from the top down on the fiber runs. The first fiber run starts at the third plug from the top and goes to the application module. There are a few skipped and the last 2 fiber plugs are used. From what I have read, extensions are assigned based on the order the modules are plugged in.

What is the best way to approach this? Can I just keep the order of the fiber and move them to the top? Will that keep my extensions in order? Any advice would be very helpful.

Stations start at the bottom on port 3 on up, tunks at to port 8 on down..

It does not matter either way but the way cook explained is the norm.
