How the heck do you install a NIC on Novell 4.11? I am really new to Novell so take it easy on me. :)
The card is a 3c905b.

Thanks

Ok, for a start you need the LAN driver files - get these from the setup disk. There are two files in particular, one with a .LAN extension, one with a .LDI extension. Copy these to SYS:SYSTEM on your server.

Put the NIC into the server and a good place to start would be to look in SYS:SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NCF and copy the commands that load your current NIC to include the new driver and (if you know it) slot. Post your AUTOEXEC.NCF if you have difficulty. -----------------------------------------------------

Thanks I will give that I try, I do know that card has already been installed by another tech, but he could not configure it. (lack of knowledge, just like me)

thanks
again
