I have installed a new hard drive Western Digital, into a compaq deskpro, the model # is 200-PB-55_B,the modelis 3564 part number is 278740-001, Series 3564, I cant get it to install the windows, I get to the point where with cd Rom help, without, and cant get past that part as far as the commands to put in the windows, I have formatted the drives, and used a western digital boot disc, and one one of the hard drives it would start only in safe mode. Can you give me any other suggestions? I know that you cant go inot the Bios, to check the configurations, and I have looked through your entire site trying to find a user diagnosatics disc and cant find it.

I had a similiar problem with a DP2000, I called Tech Support and was told to go into Bios Setup and restore default settings. It worked for me.

I'm having problems installing a Western Digital hard drive to my Compaq Presario 5000. The hard drive is 120 GB. Model number of the hard drive is WD1200BB UDMA/100 8.9MS /7200 RPM/ 2 MB buffer. Somehow is not picking up the new hard drive. The original hard is still installed. I'm making my original hard drive the master and the 120 Gb hard drive my slave. Is their some type of special software or do I need to load some drivers or devices to make it work? I need HELP...
