Install mod_gzip (Apache&Windows Xp)

I really stuck with mod_gzip here. after successfully install Apache 1.3.x, php4 and mysql, I can't figure out how to install this mod.

I am running everything on my home pc, Windows XP. I downloaded both mod_gzip.c and mod_gzip.so, but how to install them really confused me.

Could someone give a a simple explaination of how to install the mod? Thanks alot!!!
