I am new with Micros but have some IT background.
I have old HP micros windows 7 working as server. It is an old system. I am afraid it will go down one day as it has started locking up frequently.
I have bought a new windows 7 pro system. Like to know step-by-step procedure how to install micros server on this new machine and copy the database, so once completed all my data is intact and current.
Second, also like to install Micros workstation(CAL) on to large touch-pad windows PC.
thank you all in advance.

Should be fairly straight forward for you.

Get hold of the installation software. Install it. Its a Next...Next...Next installer. Nothing too complicated. Just choose the sample database when installing.

Once installed you will need to backup the database from your old system and restore it to your new system.

This will get your system restored however if you have any custom software installed then these will need to be installed on the new system manually.

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

Thank you so much.
Any idea on how to go about and get hold of the installation software?
thanks again.
