Hello,

Is it possible to install LINUX on a SUN Ultra T1120?

This unit has no video card, it has 2 serial (TTY) port A and B and 1 Ethernet port and a NIC 4 ports. 1 CD-ROM drive.

Should I do it via Ethernet (Network Install) or CD-ROM ?

I would like to have Fedora core 8 but it's only on DVD, so the network install would be better, but I didn't found docs about doing this on SUN box.

Any Direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Pentode,
Thanks for the link...

However I tried to install it via Boot net and the tftp server telling me that the requested file doesn't exist. So after a lot of try, I try a workaroud using DAT tape but I don't know how to save the Boot.img file to tape. It sounded really bizare but I'm newbie to this and can't figure how to do this...

Is it possible to help on a command to save the boot.img to a DAT tape. It's local on the server. Should I have to mount it, if so then please show me the command..

Thanks,
Sylvain

Sorry, I don't really know anything about the installer for the SPARC system.

You could try the Debian website and check the installer documentation.
