install licenses in a central location

I was able to install the license server on one of my server but when I try to connect from the PS server, I got error "port number is incorrect"; both of the server have the port 27000 open with firewall enabled. thoughts? Do I need to share the myfile directory on the license server?

Try deactivating the firewall, if it works, you know where the problem is. Do you have some other program using port 27000 that could be it. In your farm, where you put the License server name, be sure that you write the exact name of the server, it's case sensitive, and try to ping the license server to see if it response well by the server name.
