I have Seagate Info 7 installed on my Win 2000 machine. I wanted to add the Info Administrator piece to my machine. I put in the CD, and attempted to add just that one piece, and the setup screens were prompting me for a Administrator ID to "run as services" - I do not want to run anything as services, as I am not using a server. I am using my PC to connect to an Info APS. Someone help.

troyu: Can you log on through the network to the Info APS machine? If so navigate your way to:
\program files\seagate software\si\x86 and there you'll find ciadmn32.exe (the Administrator module)

Alternatively repeat your install procedure and untick the 'run as services' option - it's looking for this for Sentinel, APS etc. but not for ciadmn32. This should then complete OK and you'll end up with the Info Administrator installed on your machine David C. Monks

Thanks! That really helped me out. Good advice.
