Install Help for Solaris 8 for X86 Intel

When i insert the sun solaris cd, and it detects the hardware and i tell it to run the install off of cd. it starts the installation then comes up and says file systems synced real fast and reboots, does no changes to the disc. i need to be able to get to the fdisk portion and be able to finish the installation, can anyone help?
