install ground wire on cics

hi all,i have a customer in spring mountain here in las vegas,nv.
customer says he has replaced four cics units in last 18 months due to lighting strikes.anyone know of a way to ground the unit or is there something else i can do.

Unfortunately, the Norstar CICS doesn't have an external ground. I would highly recommend a UPS for the cabinet w/surge protection as well as lightning protection for the copper lines coming in from your telco provider. The UPS will not only provide battery backup for power failures but will also regulate the power going into the cabinet and keep it at a constant rate.
