Install Gets Stuck!!

Help!!

I have an "Acer Aspire 5100" that i'm trying to re-load Windows XP M.C.E.
on and no matter what I do it gets stuck at "Setup Is Starting Windows"
It just sits there......I've let it sit for over an hour and still nothing!
I'm beginning to lose it........Can someone please help me out!

When, at which point of the Install is that message displayed?

Have you tried removing any easily removed hardware such as USB etc. Does you Bios have any Bios virus scanning running, if so disable it. Without losing the ability to boot from CD, have you tried setting the Bios to Safe Defaults?

If you are able to access your failing Windows install, logs are created in the Windows folder, these may hold some clues for you. If Setup is able to get some way into the install you can review the Setupapi.log file, the Setupact.log file, and the Setuperr.log file. You might need some third party program like BartPE to see them, or perhaps use the Recovery Console if it loads.
