Hello,

I am trying to install FreeBSD from ftp. I have a box with 2 nic's, one of them directly connected to my cable modem. Since I am using @home I thought I would use DHCP to configure the nic - but this does not work. Both nic's are PCI 3coms, but every time I try to 'bring them up' nothing happens (or it fails).
How do I know which nic to use?
Should I use passive mode?
If I know the ip that @home generally gives me, would this make it easier? What do I use for Host, Domain, IPv4 Gateway, Name Server (just any DNS?), IPv4 Address and Netmask?

Sorry, many questions I know - but if somebody could at least point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Never mind folks, figured it out...
