I need to install a file system iDA on Windows Server 2008 with a SQL 2008 Cluster. If I log into the virtual app(which will be the primary node), can I run the install from there for the virtual and file system iDA? Will I have to install on the secondary node as well or does the installation take care of that piece of the installation? We are not going to use a SQL iDA.

Thanks
David

I beleive when you install it on a cluster node, setup will detect the cluster and automatically install the ida on the virtual server as well.

I am concerned though that you are not installing the sql ida on a sql cluster. If the database is important enough to warrant the complexity of a cluster, it should warrant full transaction logging with hot backups.
