I've tried the Howto using kernel versions 2.4.2, 2.4.9, and 2.4.18 <- the latest one, but still doesn't work. I do several compilations for each kernel versions but the modem still doesn't work.

I remembered I try the command below and get an error of 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED, so I skipped that step and use the non-patched version of the pppoatm, but still the system doesn't work.

patch -p1 -s -E < /path/to/pppoatm-1

Does anybody uses this USB modem and had installed it successfully? Please provide me a step by step solution, the more detailed the instruction, the better.

Another question, does anybody know if I can network my linux box network card with my xp network card without and hub or anything like that? It work for me using crossover cable between windows, but not for linux, yet!

Thanks in advance.
