Hi all,

I have two questions:

- I'd like to know if there any way to have the agent in a monitor computer without install any software. For example through a remote access.

- I need to know which are the main causes that can provoke a failure on the OnePoint service. The computer restarts but the OnePoint service doesn't begin. It's set to automatic.

Sorry for my bad englisg and thanks.

I doubt you can 'monitor' a computer through MOM without the agent actually on the computer. No rules apply to the machine without the agent software.

I guess it depends on what you want to monitor. I setup a script that checks Active Director queue length on my domain controllers that DO NOT have the agent installed. The script runs on the Consolidator and uses WMI to query so no agent is necessary.

Second question: I've never experienced an agent not starting upon reboot. You may want to un-install the agent, delete the registry entries for MOM, Onepoint, and Mission Critical Software, reboot and re-install the agent. Also make sure this computer is getting the rule that automatically start the Onepoint service if it's down.
