Hello,
Hi..Great forum, lots of great information..

We have Insight Manager running (very poorly) on a old Compaq 5120 with WIN95. I'm trying to install CIM 5.4 on a winXP box and running into trouble. Every time CIM starts the SNMP trap service fails. Has anyone else tried to install CIM 5.4 on a WINXP box and did you get it running. Otherwise I may have to rebuild the box to run NT 4.0 or WIN95

Yes...on Windows XP make sure you load the SNMP service, and unload the WinSNMP service. I've got 5.40 running on XP this way with no problem.

I've got a problem with a fresh installation of XP. Prior to loading CIM 5.3, I was logging in through NW client 4.83, SP1 and everything seemed cool. When I installed CIM 5.3, my login just never happens. Has anyone seen this?
