I need to save user input (a date or date range) for use as
header info in a report.
.
I've been trying things like:
Go to Field ("DateField")
Enter Find Mode (pause)
Set Field("DateField") "header"
Perform Find (replace found set)
.
result is a 'blank' "header" field.
Also tried copying from outside the Find Operaiton then
pasting in Find Mode . same result.
.
Any clues???

Use a global field to store your info.

If it is a search string with the found set that you want to store, best way is to store the search string into a separate file, and give the string a name.

This way users can always return to a previous found set of records, without going through a new search.
