I have the following script:

<script src="<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> need to be able to change the number 5 with a variable that is passed from the URL such as:

<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> have tried various methods such as Request.Querystring but with no success. I am more used to VBScript & ASP and not Javascript- Can anyone help?

Have you thought of using a java servlet. The web page is built dynamically by the server and return by the browser, this will allow you to change contents based on criteria.

Cal

Nobody told me that the price of shares could fall... :-(

No not really- since I am not that familiar with Java. I am using a service by a company and for everyitem I need to pass the above parameter. I know how to take parameters and insert it into an asp page using <% =Request.Querystring%> but with Java I can't.

Is there an easy command to use?
