Hi,

I have problems inserting any form of removable media(thumbdrive, portable harddisk or even mp3 player) into my pc. Windows explorer will hang upon detection. When I remove it, the windows explorer will be fine. I have to resort to booting into Safe mode for the transfer of my data. My PC is a new set-up and the inserting of removable media in Normal Windows Mode does not work since day one.

Really appreciate for any help/suggestions given.
Thank you in advance.

Try downloading and installing HijackThis, and posting a HJT log here from that application if you want.

It apparently is a buggy program that is starting up with your computer.

My first guess would be to disable anything related to your brand of computer in the startup items. Also, if you're running McAfee or Norton antivirus/security, then it could be they are causing the issue.

Of course, it could be something altogether different, but it does at least sound like a buggy start-up program to me.
