Inserting "If-Then-Else" condition in Cognos Transformer measures

Hi Guys,

I am a newbie to Cognos products. I need to add a calculated measure which has "If-Then-Else" condition, to a Cognos Transformer model. How can I do this.

Your quick response is highly appriciated for I have a short dead line.

Insert a new measure and click the calculated measure button which will allow you to create the necessary calculation.

You cannot use IF-THEN-ELSE code in a Transformer measure. Cognos dropped the ball BIG TIME on that. Maybe Transformer 7.0 will allow it.

Anyway, I would do the calculation in your IMR, since IF-THEN-ELSE is allowed there.

We insert a calculated column (if then else) into the iqd (right click the iqd and select insert item) within transformer then pull it into the measure window, this works fine.

We use transformer v6.5
