I'm inserting pictures in a table but access only accepts bmp files. They are large files. Does anyone know how to reduce there size so the database will not be so big. Or is there a way of using jpeg files.

Any image file stored in Access will create tremendous bloat (increased file size). Most of us recommend storing the path to an image file rather than the actual file.

How are ya Michael57 . . .

In parallel with [blue]dhookom[/blue] you need to store the [blue]Drv:\Path\FileName[/blue] instead of using [blue]OLE[/blue], using a [blue]Picture Object[/blue] for display.

The above is fine for a [blue]Single View[/blue] form but not for a [blue]Continuous View[/blue] form. For [blue]Continuous View[/blue] you'll have to stick with [blue]OLE[/blue]. No way around it! This dictates a switch to [blue]Single View[/blue] if its at all desirable for your needs.
