Does anybody know how to insert a page break into an .RTF file using Wordpad? I am trying to stick with the more portable "rich text" format over the "doc" format.

Pressing the <cntl-enter> does not do the same thing in wordpad as in Microsoft Word.

(I know that the ASCII character set provides a "form feed" character.)

As far as I am aware, {\page} is the RTF page break "character". Not sure how you insert this in Wordpad though, sorry.

Of course, you could always edit the RTF in Word and then just use Insert, Page Break.

Or if you're feeling confident, open it in Notepad and type {\page} in manually.

Thanks for the tips. It's interesting that a page break feature was not included in Wordpad. ..

I didn't know rich text was a character-based format until today.

Thx
