Is there a fast way to insert an email (I'm using Outlook Express 5) received or sent into a WORD doc.

The messages are stored in a folder in the Windows directory, but I can't figure out how to access the individual messages.

I didn't just want to cut and paste. Ideally I'd like to embed the message in the WOrd document.

Thanks for your help!

I don't think you can access individual e-mails from the dbx files. One way around is to save the e-mails you want to use as txt files. (highlight the message then click file/save as and select text files from the type box at the bottom. Then from within Word, click Insert/File, and select the individual e-mails from where you just saved them. This will place the contents of the mail into your document. If you had chosen to save the e-mails as the default .eml format, you will get all the other junk such as ID & Message ID as well, so for a tidier look, it is best to save the e-mails out as text files.

Hope this is helpfull

Dear Kwunder:

Thanks for the reply. I was already doing this, but was hoping I could be in Word - do Insert Object (and pick out the email from the inbox list you see when in Outlook).

Does Outlook use Macros that would let us simplify the procedure?

Thanks again...

Scott
